Scientists have recently discovered a dwarf planet (Glises 581g) that is possible to inhabit life. Unfortunately, the temperature varies greatly from the dark and illuminated side by more than 500 degrees farenheit. Water viewed by the scientists showed that this planet contains an abundant amount of water. Some scientists believe that there is a 100% chance of life on this planet. WE still do not know the physical surface of this planet and whether it can sustain greenhouses.

No, I don't think non-carbon based lifeforms are possible. First off, carbon is a very abundant element in the whole universe which means that lifeforms are most likely to be made up of carbon. Secondly, carbon is a unique element due to the fact that it can connect with four different elements that make up an organic compound.

Metric System Why or Why Not?

I don't think that the U.S should switch over to the metric system. By changing our systems everybody will be confused because they were all used to using inches, feet, etc. Also, companies that create items that display inches will now be useless since nobody would use it anymore. Those companies would have to throw away all their products or they'd have to recycle them. This will cause everyone to throw away their rulers and measuring items that are not from the metric system.
